Bennett Construction appointed ERS to provide sustainable & energy compliance services for the landmark £28M project, Greenwich Millennium Village.
Phase 3 of Greenwich Millennium Village (GMV) was an environmentally sustainable development comprising 106 residential units, designed to meet Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 standards. The scheme featured a mix of 83 apartments across four six-storey blocks, 15 three-storey townhouses, and 8 two-storey courtyard houses, spread across four individual plots.
ERS Consultants delivered Part E, F and L related compliance and consultancy on this development and ensure certification satisfied the Code Level 4 requirement.
This was a challenging project with an extremely tight programme, requiring the implementation of a fast-track construction delivery model to meet client expectations. At peak construction, work was being carried out simultaneously across all eight plots, supported by the strategic placement of two tower cranes—one with a 60m jib and another with a 40m jib—ensuring efficient servicing of all areas of the site.
Greenwich Millennium Village is one of the most innovative residential neighbourhoods in Europe, offering a vibrant, well-established community within a highly sustainable urban environment. Our involvement in this phase of the development contributed to the creation of high-quality, energy-efficient homes, reinforcing GMV’s reputation as a benchmark for sustainable city living.
